Board of Directors
Mike Swenson, President
Mike Swenson and his wife, Jan, were raised in the Midwest but have been part of the Colorado foothills community for about 20 years; now living in The Homestead. They are bicoastal grandparents—with a daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids in Corvallis, Oregon, and another daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids in Brooklyn, New York.
Mike leads corporate marketing and communications for Flatiron, a leading provider of innovative solutions to infrastructure challenges across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to his current role, he provided consulting services—helping businesses and organizations achieve success through clear strategy and effective communications. In 2013, in support of the Governor’s Office of the State of Colorado, he developed and implemented the communication plan for the Colorado flood recovery effort.
A former senior executive at Accenture, Mike led global internal communications as the company evolved from a 34,000-employee, partner-led organization—through rebranding, strategic redirection and an IPO—to become a 200,000-employee, global leader in management consulting and technology services.
Prior to Accenture, Mike was a senior executive in corporate communications at Ameritech, a company formed by bringing together five former Bell Companies following the breakup of the Bell System. In that role, he led media relations, advertising, branding and corporate identity, employee communications and crisis communications.
Mike has a Master of Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri.

Bob Scott, Secretary
Bob Scott, a semi-retired professional specializing in Real Estate and Fleet management. My goal is to continue to find success in my areas of expertise and add value to our community and giving back by serving on this Board. During my 27 year career in the energy industry, I was able to assemble and successfully manage a large corporate real estate portfolio along with one of the largest energy fleets in North America. In my spare time I enjoy fishing and golfing and spending time doing that with my wonderful wife Teresa. We also enjoy being with family and friends. While not a native, I’ve spent the majority of my life in Colorado and the last 19 years in the Homestead.
