Emergency Medical Services

Emergency Medical Services remain the number reason our citizens call 911 for help in the Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District.  With approximately 70% of our emergency calls requesting EMS, our statistics mirror national numbers.  As the demographics of ICFPD ages, the number of calls for EMS is expected to increase in coming years.

All ICFPD volunteer staff are trained to the State of Colorado Emergency Medical Responded level at a minimum.  We also have over 20 volunteer EMTs and Paramedics to serve the community.  These volunteers have invested 300 to 1200 hours in initial training and countless hours each year in continuing education.  Ambulances housed at Stations 13 and 4 respond to medical and trauma calls across the district.
